Book Description
摘要
By analyzing different strategies implemented to address specific pain points in focal regions and villages, this casebook presents a collection of poverty alleviation cases in China. It offers an overview of how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations could be achieved. While the primary data for this book comes from documents by IPRCC, secondary data collection and research have been conducted to further develop the cases. China has a long history of poverty issues, and its poverty alleviation policies have evolved over time. These policies have progressed from small-scale poverty alleviation in the initial stage (1949–1978) to the targeted poverty alleviation efforts in the fifth stage (2013–2021). In 2021, General Secretary Xi declared the success of poverty alleviation in China and introduced the strategy of rural revitalization to foster further development across industries. The cases presented in this book are selected from the later part of the fifth stage.
