AI holds many techniques to analyze the data, handle the data, recognize patterns, and extract meaningful answers. The amount of gastroenterology literature devoted to the application of artificial intelligence has significantly increased. AI techniques in medical imaging have improved the decision-making for approaching better diagnosis. Healthcare sectors have racked up vast data sets in the form of medical records and images, as well as clinical trial data. Different medical departments have different requirements that can utilize deep learning algorithms (a subset of AI) to use the data with better clinical and imaging decisions. Gastroenterology is one of the medical specialties that focuses on the study, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases related to the digestive system and associated organs. This paper explores the main insights of gastroenterology and how AI can be used for identification and diagnosis of gastroenterological diseases.
