5G-NSSSP: A Simulation Platform for Enhanced 5G Network Slice Security Mechanism

With the gradual commercialization of 5G network slicing, slicing security has become the focus of research. In this paper, we propose a 5G network slicing security simulation platform (5G-NSSSP), which implements special authentication and authorization functions in the 5G network slicing access process. We also propose two improvement solutions for the security vulnerabilities in the existing 3GPP network slicing authentication process: the introduction of a new slicing shared key generation step and a service subscription key. These solutions have been experimentally verified on 5G-NSSSP. The results show that they circumvent the access of illegal slicing requests to some extent and improve the security of the network slicing authentication process.
