Truth Hidden in Wine

China is among the earliest countries in the world to brew alcohol, and Chinese people have been drinking alcohol for thousands of years. Huangjiu, literally yellow wine made from rice or millet, became a common drink over 3,000 years ago, and baijiu, literally white spirit, made its debut in the Song Dynasty (960–1279). Yellow wine and white spirits are the two major types of alcohol in China.
