Ci Poetry of the Song Dynasty: Chanting of the Soul
摘要
In the unfurling of the long history of Chinese literature, ci poetry of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) is always recalled along with the poetry of the Tang Dynasty (618–907). As Wang Guowei (1877–1927), a great scholar of Chinese culture, remarked, “Each generation has its own literature,” and ci poetry is Song Dynasty’s literary relic.
