A Review on the Effect of Different Performance Parameters of H-Darrieus Turbines
摘要
Because of the growing population and the gap in the need for energy, the pace of fuel depletion is rising daily. Researchers are working very hard to replace conventional energy sources with renewable energy sources in order to maintain such a situation. With the increasing popularity of wind as a renewable energy source, researchers are paying close attention to VAWT due to its special performance features. Research on VAWTs still has a wide range of applications. Numerous research articles on VAWTs have been published to date. Using both experimental and numerical methods, research is being done on different blade forms and the impact of various performance parameters in order to boost the efficiency of VAWTs. In this present review work, the effect of several performance parameters like blade shape, solidity, tip speed ratio, and Reynolds number is studied for H-Darrieus turbines for performance improvement. It is shown that for what value of a specific parameter, the VAWTs exhibit the highest power coefficient. Some of the promising results are V-shaped blade exhibited Cp of 0.38 while NACA4312 blade profile shows the maximum Cp of 0.38 at solidity 0.9.
