Understanding L2 Writing Teachers’ Emotions in Chinese Tertiary Context: A Qualitative Inquiry
摘要
This book employs a qualitative research methodology to delve into the multifaceted antecedents—both personal and contextual—that influence the emotions of L2 writing teachers, how these emotions are experienced and expressed, and the mediating role of emotional labor strategies on their teaching practices and overall well-being. The research questions, which are narrowly tailored to the study's objectives, serve as the guiding force for the design and methodology. In line with the principles outlined by (Onwuegbuzie and Leech, Quality and Quantity 38:267–296, 2005), the research questions dictate the selection of the appropriate methodological design, sampling procedures, and data analysis techniques. This approach ensures that the methodology is aligned with the study's goals and that the research questions are addressed in a systematic and coherent manner.
