Exploring Preschool Teachers’ Perceived Challenges in Using ICT in Hong Kong After the Pandemic

The COVID-19 outbreak has forced most schools to close and shifted everything online overnight. Would the long-standing ICT-related issues have been resolved? After a year of post-pandemic normality, this study looked into the use of ICT in preschool teaching. This study used an online open-ended questionnaire to interview current preschool teachers. Fifty-one completed questionnaires were returned within four weeks. The content analysis of the open-ended replies revealed the findings in the current practice of utilising ICT in teaching, as well as the perceived benefits, barriers, and expected support for using ICT. The study concluded that the difficulties still exist. Teachers, school administrators, and policymakers can use the data to develop effective strategies for integrating ICT into teaching.
