Ocean Weathering as a Key to the Contemporary CO2 Problem
摘要
The discovery of ocean weathering and its relationship with carbon cycles may offer a new perspective on the contemporary CO2 problem. The challenges associated with reducing CO2 concentration will be discussed. The importance of the ocean as a storage reservoir of carbon is emphasized. The long-term efficacy of certain specific endeavors to reduce carbon is discussed, and it is argued that methods with an impact effect lasting for more than 1000 years may be limited to ocean weathering, when we resort to the oceans for carbon storage.
