Efficient Public Key Encryption Equality Test with Lightweight Authorization on Outsourced Encrypted Datasets

Cloud computing changes our way of life by offering advantages in convenience and cost savings. However, the security and privacy issues associated with this technology should not be taken lightly. In various cloud computing applications such as shared contacts, categorization of users on social applications, and unpublished papers plagiarism detection, public key encryption with equality test (PKEET) plays a significant role in their privacy protection. In the existing PKEET schemes, the authorization algorithms can only authorize an encrypted data or all encrypted data, but cannot authorize any encrypted data collections. In addition, the majority of these schemes use computationally expensive pairing operations. Based on this, we propose a new pairing free scheme that can authorize specified sets of encrypted data thereby reducing the number of authorization trapdoors. Additionally, our scheme demonstrates high efficiency in simulation experiment compared to related works.
