Most of the reported work by researchers in the biomedical domain focuses on studying hard tissues (tooth, bone, etc.) and soft tissues (muscles, skin, etc.). In the area of hard tissue engineering, the primary interest of the researchers emphasizes bone injury, bone infection, and bone cancer by replacing the damaged region/bone with a scaffold or metallic implant.
