摘要

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) represent a unique class of polymeric matrices, notable for their specific recognition capabilities toward chosen template molecules via dedicated chemical functionalities. These polymers have garnered significant interest in developing advanced sensor systems due to their exceptional ability to selectively bind target molecules. A key attribute of MIPs lies in their stability, which plays a pivotal role in enhancing the longevity and efficacy of sensor applications. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the synthesis, fabrication, and characterization techniques of MIPs. Emphasis is placed on detailed analysis and understanding of MIPs as specialized materials, highlighting their synthesis methodologies and the nuances of their physicochemical properties. This exploration aims to deepen the understanding of MIPs’ unique characteristics and their potential applications in selective sensing technologies.
