MIP-Based Chip Sensors

Recent years have seen a significant increase in interest in the ground-breaking technology of a commercial chip platform for the detection of molecules. Various materials, including molecular imprinted surfaces, have been developed for recognition surfaces in chip sensors. The process of molecular imprinting is used to prepare affinity-based polymers for analytical targets. Molecularly imprinted polymers are an exciting new kind of sensing element that offers excellent stability, cheap cost, strong affinity for target molecules, and increased selection options for monomers and polymerization protocols. The combination of these recognition components with materials at the nanoscale improves binding selectivity as well as sensitivity, allowing for the construction of very versatile diagnostic devices that can be utilized directly in analysis. The purpose of this review article is to identify many ways for molecular imprinting molecules and incorporation with various chip technologies to explain the most effective techniques for creating molecularly imprinted polymer-based sensor systems.
