摘要

This chapter examines Thailand’s postwar development experience, highlighting the country’s exposure to sequential waves of international influence. The term “experience” here refers to the continual (re-)formation of norms and perceptions among the populace. By analyzing the various “mediums” that shaped this experience, the chapter elucidates how local and global interactions have facilitated the formation of national identities throughout the development process.
