Introduction

Notwithstanding the decline in the number of monarchical countries in the world, there are still strong kings, grand dukes, sultans or emirs in the twenty-first century. In particular, the monarchs of modern Europe themselves have been promoting sustainable development, multicultural societies and LGBT rights, and are not inconsistent with modern democracy at all. In this book I will investigate the strengths of modern constitutional monarchy.
