Chapter 3 emphasizes the importance of learning from the culture to develop partnership communication in health care. The socio-hierarchical gaps and collectivism in health care may also happens worldwide. The one-way communication style lead to less patients’ participation, therefore patients may choose alternative medicine than health professionals. Patient safety and health outcome are at stake.
