Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Thiirane and Its Derivatives
摘要
Sulfur heterocycles have been recognized as an essential component authorized by the FDA medications and has therapeutic chemicals properties. Researchers’ attention has switched from nitrogen heterocycles in medicinal chemistry towards other heterocycles, particularly sulfur heterocycles. Compared to earlier nitrogen heterocycles, several endeavors have been undertaken to create a diverse range of new sulfur-containing compounds that possess significant therapeutic properties and a minimal level of toxicity. Sulfur heterocycle comprising compounds have been extensively reported as anticancer, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and so on. The authors attempted to furnish a detail assessment of the synthesis and its derivatives of heterocycles that contain sulfur, reports of thiirane and similar sulfur heterocycles have long highlighted their significance and practicality in the development of innovative drugs. Three-membered heterocycle thiirane also known as ethylene sulfide contains sulfur and its reactivity more because of ring strain detailed analysis in this book chapter.
