Blockchain technology has emerged as a feasible option for telemedicine and remote healthcare monitoring, as well as IoT integration. This abstract focuses on the application of blockchain in numerous sectors, underlining its benefits, challenges, and current advancements. Remote monitoring is crucial in telemedicine and remote healthcare for managing chronic diseases and improving patient outcomes. It does, however, pose questions regarding data security, privacy, and interoperability. In this scenario, blockchain technology offers significant benefits. The use of blockchain for safe and tamper-proof storage of remote patient monitoring data can ensure the integrity, traceability, and privacy of patient information. IoT devices in healthcare often use remote patient monitoring, generating large amounts of data that require secure communication and storage. Blockchain, with its immutability and cryptographic methods, enhances security and transparency in IoT-generated data. Integrating blockchain with IoT devices enables secure communication channels, data integrity preservation, and seamless interaction. However, challenges like patient data privacy and data protection compliance remain. Blockchain systems should prioritize privacy through robust encryption and access control methods while addressing scalability and performance challenges. Off-chain data solutions and optimized consensus algorithms can help mitigate these issues. Current blockchain-enabled remote monitoring and IoT integration trends and breakthroughs center on decentralized remote monitoring platforms. Blockchain technology is used in these platforms to enable safe data exchange, transparency, and patient empowerment. Real-world case studies and use cases highlight how blockchain may be used in telemedicine and remote healthcare. Blockchain technology has the potential to alter the telemedicine and remote healthcare scene, from increased data security and privacy to greater interoperability and patient-centric treatment. Future research and development in blockchain-enabled remote monitoring and IoT integration offer a lot of potential.
