Introduction: Narrating the Body
摘要
The embodied understanding of reality relates to the physical and psychical interpretation of an actual, or imaginary, condition. Besides the multisensory, bodily realisation of an environment, human experience also involves memories, thoughts and beliefs. The reciprocal relationship between these tangible and intangible components leads to a space-time of phenomenal potential, as fluid and active as a living organism. This book explores the notion of embodied experience through a diverse range of disciplines: architecture, music, literature, performance studies, philosophy and geopolitics.
