摘要

The application, perception, and interpretations of informal Sharia law in the US, Europe, UK, Canada, and Australia are critically examined in this book, with a focus on the complex interactions between social, legal, and historical aspects. Additionally, the study looks at how Islamic scholars have changed in how they interpret and defend Islamic traditions in the face of changing socio-political environments. In order to effectively address modern challenges, the book also explores discussions on Islam and democracy, human rights, and transnational citizenship among Muslims in non-Muslim countries.
