摘要

In order to understand student interpreters’ use and awareness of AI-assisted interpreting technology, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on the use and perception of AI assisted interpreting technologies among student interpreters and the development of technology-related courses in interpretation teaching in universities. The survey results show that student interpreters are at a relatively basic stage in terms of technology use, and they have not yet formed a clear understanding of the relevant technology. There is still a lot of room for universities to educate interpreters with technology awareness and skills. Based on the findings, this paper further discusses how interpreters should establish a correct concept of technology to cope with the changes in the future interpretation industry under the impact of technology; and discusses the direction and possibilities of technology competence cultivation in interpretation teaching beside the key skills of interpretation in translation and interpretation programs.
