Smart Greenhouse Management System Using IoT and Multivariate Fuzzy Logic
摘要
The climatic changes and scarcity of water have been prominent in recent years, resulting in irregular growth periods for the plants to grow optimally. The introduction of controlled environment in agriculture ensures a shorter growth period for the plants, and to grow in an optimal condition, it also allows the plants to be grown in challenging environmental conditions. Although the greenhouse is already a well-established system, with the recent advancement in technology, it is now possible to automate different processes in the greenhouse. A smart greenhouse system based on Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be a great solution to further reduce the workload of the farmer and play a vital role in crop production. Information about the growth environment of the plants such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture, pressure, and altitude are collected in real time using sensors. The proposed system combines real-time sensor data with Multivariate Decision-Making Algorithm (MDMA) along with fuzzy logic. Through Wi-Fi communication and cloud storage, the collected data are accessible to end-users via a user-friendly mobile application, enabling remote monitoring and interaction with the greenhouse environment. This approach ensures optimal plant growth conditions, efficient resource utilization, and minimal power usage.
