Drought Indices Performance for Predicting Agricultural Drought
摘要
Drought is a natural disaster caused by a scarcity of available water in atmospheric and hydrological systems, which has become a global concern due to its extensive impact on hydrology, ecology, environment, and agriculture. Therefore, it is crucial to monitor and understand the effects of drought on water resource systems to ensure hazard preparedness and sustainable development. Drought detection and monitoring indices are widely used worldwide, categorizing droughts into four major classes: meteorological, agricultural, hydrological, and socio-economic.
