Research on the Application of Mobile English Learning Platform from the Perspective of Big Data

The continuous innovation of mobile communication technology, the development of Internet technology and the renewal of learning concepts have created a new form of learning through mobile learning. Mobile platform brings great convenience to people's life. This paper mainly studies the application of mobile English learning platform from the perspective of big data(BD). The paper first introduces the changes in English teaching in the era of BD, then states the needs of the development of mobile learning platform. Next, it analyzes the mobile English learning platform which is designed by using PHP language and MVC pattern. The platform consists of four functional modules: login module, learning resource module, online discussion module and personal center module. In order to verify the effectiveness of the mobile English learning platform, a questionnaire survey was conducted among freshmen. The results show that the platform can help students learn English effectively, but it needs to be improved in some aspects.
