摘要

As the ICT industry advances, services that require high-quality communication infrastructure such as autonomous driving and realistic content have emerged. As 5G convergence services diversify, the types of data are becoming more diverse, and their importance is increasing day by day. In the 5G-Heterogeneous network interworking structure, security starts with the identification and authentication of objects accessing application services. However, heterogeneous networks cannot trust 5G UE because authentication provided in 5G is guaranteed only within 5G boundaries. In this paper, we design an authentication protocol using a hardware cryptographic module based on EAP-PSK and analyze its availability by experimenting in a 5G network environment. As a result, the cryptographic function itself does not have a large overhead in the designed authentication protocol, and it is expected that it can be extended in various network structures to provide secure authentication based on 2FA.
