A Conceptualized Review of the Prospects of Wave Power Energy

In the dynamic of the global energy landscape, the pivotal forces shaping societal energy consumption emanate from fossil fuels, which are the foremost elements that define our current energy paradigm. Over the last few decades, the adverse effects of dependence on sources such as oil and gas derived from fossil fuels have not only upset the balance of our ecosystems but also threatened societal health and the well-being of our communities. The urgency to mitigate these consequences has encouraged global efforts towards cleaner and more sustainable solutions, leading to a paradigm shift embraced by large corporations, governments, and communities. Recognizing the evolving need for a shift towards sustainable alternatives, Wave Energy Converters or WEC devices emerge as a promising solution in this transition, presenting a viable opportunity to bolster energy demands while maintaining environmental integrity. This research focuses on exploring the shift for renewable wave power energy while discussing the technical process, innovative impact for society, alongside specific characteristics behind wave power energy and foreseeing the overall benefits of wave power energy, with a specific emphasis on the coastal regions of the United States as a pivotal starting point for this innovative initiative. The objective of this study is to delve deeper into the generalized advantages that wave power energy can offer to society. By concentrating on the United States, a major energy consumer and a trailblazer in sustainable energy practices and assessing the general output of wave power energy in coastal areas in the region, we aim to provide profound insights into how wave generation sources can augment the supply and foster the growth of renewable energy in coastal cities across the United States and draws the lessons for its potential use in Asia.
