Chondrosarcoma
摘要
Chondrosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor. Chondrosarcomas in maxillofacial bone only account for 1–3% of chondrosarcomas in the whole body, with worse prognosis than that in other parts of the body [1–6]. The mean age of onset was about 30 years old, and there was no significant gender difference [7–9]. The incidence was more common in mandible than maxilla. Since chondrosarcoma is not sensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, complete surgical resection is the main therapy. The median time to postoperative metastasis is more than 12 years, and long-term follow-up is recommended.
