Desmoplastic Fibroma

Desmoplasmic fibroma, also known as ligamentous fibroma and invasive fibroma, is a rare locally invasive bone tumor of myofibroblastic origin [1–5]. It has the age of onset mostly less than 30 years old, and is most common in jaw bone. Its clinical and imaging findings are lack of characteristics, so diagnosis by disease examination is required [6–10]. Currently, there is no unified treatment standard, and surgical resection is the main therapy in clinic. Long-term postoperative follow-up is recommended due to its high recurrence rate [7–12].
