Osteochondroma

Osteochondroma is a bony apophysis with a cartilaginous cap occurring on the outer surface of bone. The tumor contains a medullary cavity that connects to the medullary cavity of the basal bone. It is also known as osteochondral exostosis. So far, the pathogenesis is unknown. According to the location, osteochondroma can be divided into: (1) solitary osteochondroma, most common; (2) multiple osteochondroma, autosomal dominant inheritance [1–5].
