Ameloblastic Carcinoma
摘要
Ameloblastic carcinoma is a rare malignant odontogenic tumor, accounting for 1–3% of all maxillary tumors and cysts [1–4]. It mainly occurs in the mandible, with an aggressive clinical course and poor prognosis. The clinical manifestations can be cystic lesion with benign clinical features, while larger mass presented as ulcer with obvious bone resorption, and mobile teeth or loss of partial teeth, accompanied by regional lymph node metastasis or distant metastasis [5–21]. Ameloblastic carcinoma has atypical clinical features, resulting in a high rate of clinical misdiagnosis [10–21]. The treatment for ameloblastic carcinoma is radical resection with simultaneous regional lymph node dissection [15–23]. Moreover, due to its high relapse rate, close and regular follow-up is prerequisite.
