摘要

Nasopalatine duct cyst (NPDC), also known as incisive couldal cyst, was the maxilla’s most common non-odontogenic developmental cyst. It originates from the remnants of the nasopalatine duct epithelium, which could spontaneously activate during the individual’s lifespan or be stimulated by various factors such as infection. NPDC occurred most frequently between the ages of 4 and 60, with a slightly higher prevalence in males than females [1, 2]. The cysts typically occurred near the midline of the anterior maxilla, which were often asymptomatic, and a definitive diagnosis should be based on clinical, imaging, and histopathological examinations [3, 4]. The surgical removal of the cystic tissue was the primary treatment approach.
