The startup ecosystem in India has been rapidly expanding, particularly in the past decade. A large and growing pool of tech talent, rising investment from domestic investors, and favorable government regulations are driving this expansion. Young entrepreneurs have ventured into every industry across the country. Apart from the highs and lows in the journey, startup culture in India values creativity, skills, dedication, horizontal hierarchy, and open communication more than just a degree. This paper focuses on the scope of startup ventures among budding engineers, especially in the IT sector. The dataset comprises responses collected from CSE engineering undergraduates in a third-tier city in India. The statistical analysis includes exploratory statistics, logistics regression, and a non-parametric Chi-square test. Interpreting all these tests can help build up the proper strategies for budding undergraduates to fulfill their dreams of starting a startup. The research study can support the education authorities in planning their respective approaches to boost startups’ ventures in the early stages of undergraduate education.
