A Secure Searchable Encryption Scheme Over the Cloud

Cloud computing has an important role in real-world scenarios and certain practical applications. Like, the data owners can allocate their data over the cloud which allows the users to access and use the data according to their needs. The information which is gathered by the data owners is collected from different outlets, thus compelling them to use their own resources. So, only those who have paid for access are given permission to obtain the data. Additionally, there may be privacy concerns associated with fetching specific data from the cloud servers. To counteract these challenges, our study puts forward a secure searchable encryption scheme, which is designed especially for the cloud environment to make it safe and secure. It uses the oblivious transfer protocol (OT protocol) and Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). This scheme allows the data owners to securely outsource their data to the cloud which also makes sure that only certain authorized users can retrieve the data confidentially. Selective data access by authorized individuals and anonymous data transfer is the main goal of using the OT protocol. We also analyse the scheme’s performance, which requires only a limited number of cryptographic operations, making it viable for cloud computing.
