IoT in Waste Management
摘要
In modern smart cities, everything is organized and planned. Trash management needs to be done well to maintain sustainable urban environments. With typical waste management systems, overflowing bins, inefficient collection schedules, and inadequate monitoring tools are frequent issues. This study proposes a smart garbage monitoring system (SGMS) with the help of IoT technology to increase the effectiveness of waste collection procedures. If we want to eliminate waste and uphold the highest hygiene standards, we must approach the issue methodically. One of the popular solutions is clean waste management through IoT-based smart technology that uses sensory technologies to gauge the amount of rubbish in dustbins. The microcontroller in this system serves as a visible interface between the sensor and the Internet of Things system. Waste is automatically divided into biodegradable and non-biodegradable by the Smart Bin. This could be a flexible and scalable way to update trash management in smart cities.
