Magnificence of Porcelain from the Kangxi Reign
摘要
The Kangxi Emperor (1654–1722) succeeded to the throne at the age of 8 and reigned for 61 years. He was the emperor whose reign (1622–1722) took the longest time in the monarchy time in China. In his reign, the imperial porcelains are featured by magnificence and elegance. Judging from a general survey of the situation, the reasons for that should be explained starting from the tendency toward culture.
