Rural Poverty Alleviation and Development in Ethnic Minority Concentrated Areas—A Survey from a Macro Perspective

Since the policy of reform and opening up was introduced, especially in the twenty-first century, ethnic minority concentrated areas, like other rural areas in China, under the unified instructions of the central government, have taken a raft of measures for poverty alleviation and development and alleviated poverty by constantly improving and implementing the strategies of poverty alleviation. From a macroscopic perspective, this chapter focuses on practices of poverty alleviation in ethnic minority concentrated areas since the 11th Five-Year Plan period, so as to provide intellectual support for improving poverty alleviation policies in ethnic minority concentrated areas, achieving more scientific and effective poverty alleviation, and making up for weaknesses in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
