A critical examination reveals a gap between theoretical frameworks and practical implementation, advocating for enhanced tools, methodologies, and resources to adequately equip planners. A comprehensive approach is called for, one that embraces flexibility, continuous evaluation, and adaptive strategies to ensure the long-term resilience and sustainability of urban environments. By integrating advanced planning tools and methodologies, urban planners can better anticipate and respond to future challenges, ensuring cities can thrive in the face of uncertainty.
