Multidisciplinary Approach to Different Types of Lumbar Spondyloarthropathies
摘要
Lumbar spondyloarthropathies are a group of inflammatory spinal diseases that can affect the lumbar spine along with varied extra-spinal manifestations. Ankylosing spondylitis is a prototype disease; however, other diseases like inflammatory bowel disease, psoriatic arthritis, and reactive arthritis can also affect the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joints. There are various infective and non-infective mimics that need to be ruled out while evaluating and managing patients with lumbar spondyloarthropathy. Since this spectrum has a wide clinical presentation, they are managed by various specialties during the course. A multidisciplinary approach is not only best but also indicated in these patients to have a holistic and complete response.
