Sustainable Management of Microplastics
摘要
Concern over the effects of Microplastics (MPLs) on humans and the entire natural world has grown in the last few decades. Particles like these originate from a multitude of sources, including personal hygiene products, soapy products, and the detritus of larger plastic goods. MPLs have serious negative effects on other ecological systems and aquatic organisms, including mortality and intrusion with reproduction processes as well as consumption by underwater creatures. The occurrence of MPLs in the surroundings has an impact on a number of commercial enterprises, including touristry and trawling, which has substantial financial ramifications. Human health hazards associated with microplastic exposure include breathing problems, difficulties with digestion, difficulty falling asleep, weight gain, and a greater chance of being diabetic. Prevention and remediation are equally necessary in the fight against MPLs contamination. Even if rehabilitation is necessary, given the state of technology currently, it could require quite a while to complete. However, prevention is something that can and ought to be undertaken right now. To fully comprehend the possible environmental effect, more studies are required on the various risk of adverse reactions, and the process of leaching.
