Implementation of MXenes for Water Treatment

The two-dimensional (2D) multi-layered framework, tunable chemical composition, and advanced catalytic properties make MXenes a leading contender for water purification. The present book chapter has been organized to elaborate on the recent developments achieved in MXene-based materials for wastewater treatment along with the discussion on their catalytic mechanisms. At last, the research gap and prospects in the catalytic treatment of water using MXene-based materials are discussed to help expand the applicability of this research field.
