Good Publication Practice and Questions of Authorship
摘要
We review the history of Good Publication Practice and its connection to authorship criteria by groups such as the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, the World Association of Medical Editors, and the Council of Science Editors. The chapter reviews author agreements and practical issues such as author order, the use of study groups in author bylines, and increasing inclusivity in authorship. The role of patients is included as applicable by topic and not treated as a specialized case, in keeping with the essential role of patients in authorship in many settings.
