Readdressing the Current Challenges of Image Duplication in Scientific Publications
摘要
Image integrity in scientific articles should never be manipulated as it can lead to serious consequences. Common misconducts include inappropriate image duplication and fabrication, which can affect the credibility and reliability of research findings. The incidence of image manipulation is increasing amongst editors and authors within the scientific community. The increased incidence of image misconduct in scientific research poses significant challenges for the integrity of academic publications. Publishers, journal editors, and researchers need to work together to address image integrity issues. Developing integrity and promoting transparency can help preserve the reputation of academic publications and reduce the negative impacts of image manipulation. This chapter discusses the problems and implications associated with image duplication.
