Post-combustion
摘要
Similar to burners, post-combustion also is employed for scrap-preheating which further decreases the consumption of electric energy. The basic idea is to use the large amount of heat when CO is oxidized to CO2 before the off-gas leaves the furnace. In this chapter post-combustion thermodynamics, post-combustion efficiency and heat transfer are reviewed.
