Burners
摘要
Burners are employed for scrap-preheating which decreases the consumption of electric energy and increases the scrap melting rate. Its thermal efficiency decreases over time. The proper selection on the number, position and capacity of oxy-fuel burners can be made analyzing heat transfer from burners to steel scrap. This chapter describes the contribution from burners to chemical energy and the limits to replace electric energy by chemical energy.
