Energy Balance

This chapter describes the fundamentals to develop a static energy balance in the EAF, including two cases, explained step by step, to calculate the energy consumed to melt one ton of scrap and also to melt one ton of DRI. The chapter discusses general aspects on dynamic energy balances and optimization models.
