Since the twentieth century, with the development of science research, the boundaries between disciplines have been waning day by day. Library and information sciences have maintained growing momentum in cross-field and interdisciplinary research, and have gradually become close with other disciplines. They have been playing an increasingly great role in the emerging cross-field or interdisciplinary research, and even a major role. This chapter summarizes and introduces the achievements of cross-field and interdisciplinary research in the field of library and information in recent years, including health informatics, community informatics, digital humanities, reading culture research, and reading promotion.
