In the process of analysis, this chapter will focus on the topic setting and key concepts of Chinese political culture research and sort out the important issues raised by the academic circle in this field in the past 40 years, as well as the corresponding important theories and viewpoints. In the part of Chinese traditional political culture, this chapter will mainly describe the royal power, patriarchal ethics, Confucian classics education, scholar-officials and bureaucrats, people and politics. In the comparison of political culture between China and foreign countries, this chapter will mainly analyze globalization and political culture, political culture in key countries (the United States and Russia), and political culture in key regions (Japan, South Korea, and Europe). In the part of contemporary Chinese political culture, it will mainly discuss contemporary Chinese political culture and its transformation path, main political subculture types (rural areas, farmers and migrant workers, ethnic minorities and border areas, middle class, young students, internet political subculture), and key issues of political culture (political trust and political efficiency).
