Similar to other disciplines, the most basic components of politics are political concepts and the propositions and theories formed on this basis. In this sense, the political concept is the brick for the building of politics, and it is of great significance to the construction of politics. First, the political concept is the foundation of political theory. Conceptualization is the key step for us to upgrade perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge. Political concepts are the seed for the growth of political theory and the foundation for the growth of political knowledge. Second, political concepts are an indispensable tool for political practice. We can only see what political concepts let us see, or we can only observe the political world in which we live through the telescope of political concepts. In this sense, the renewal of political concepts will bring innovation in political practice. Finally, the construction of political concepts is the premise of promoting international academic dialog. If there is no unique concept based on one’s own experience, Chinese political science research will always measure China’s political practice with a ruler based on other countries’ experience, and its root will always live elsewhere. If so, we can only verify other countries’ theories with our own experience, or it will be discordant with China’s reality. Therefore, the construction of political concepts is of great significance to the growth of political knowledge, the innovation of political practice, and international academic dialog.

摘要
