Since the reform and opening-up era, research into sociological theory has generally involved the following: a study or digest of Chinese and foreign sociological theoretical achievements, theoretical orientations on Chinese sociology, and an exploration/debate around theoretical issues. This paper will briefly touch on the first and second subjects and focus on the latter.
