After a brief review of the recovery and development of China’s political science discipline after the reform and opening up, this chapter will focus on some important trends in the evolution and development of China’s political science over the past 40 years. Finally, this chapter will summarize several typical arguments about where Chinese political science discipline is headed, analyze some bottlenecks that limit the prosperity and progress of China’s political science discipline, and put forward some suggestions on how to solve these bottlenecks.
